This 1969 FJ40 Land Cruiser came to us via another local builder, Voodoo Cruisers.  Andy and his team have built a ton of Land Cruisers and had built a successor to this 69 for his client Bruce.  When Bruce came back for a second build, he wanted this one to be LS powered and have some upgrades that Voodoo had not done before.  Andy will ultimately finish the truck but we are going to handle most of the mock up stage.  Together with Andy and Bruce, we decided to go with a Chevrolet Performance crate LS3 with 495hp.  Behind the LS3 will be a new NV4500 5-speed.  A mid 80’s offset transfer case from Toyota will be mated to the 5-speed with a kit from Advanced Adapters.  We are installing the drivetrain in the original chassis that Voodoo had cleaned up and got into a roller.  Our universal LS engine mount kit and custom transmission crossmember will be used to put everything in place.  Other modifications or upgrades consist of adding air conditioning, a tilt column, modern gauges, high pressure fuel system, upgraded cooling system, and power brakes.  We are very excited about this collaboration and will be posting more pictures as we progress!
